1. Are there direct flights from Bengaluru to Thailand?
Bengaluru has direct flights to Bangkok with three airlines: IndiGo, Air India Express, and Thai AirAsia. There's also a daily direct IndiGo route to Phuket. Anything else in Thailand (Krabi, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui) needs a Bangkok connection, but with multiple BLR-BKK departures every day, the layover is usually short.
2. How long is the flight from Bengaluru to Bangkok or Phuket?
The direct flight times are about 4 hours 15 minutes to Bangkok and 4 hours 30 minutes to Phuket. With a Bangkok connection plus an onward flight, getting to Krabi or Koh Samui usually takes 7 to 8 hours all-in. Chiang Mai is similar.
3. Can I do a Thailand trip from Bengaluru over a long weekend?
Yes, and many Bangalore professionals do exactly that. With direct flights to Bangkok in around 4 hours 15 minutes, you can leave Friday evening, spend 3 nights in Bangkok or Pattaya, and be back at work Monday morning. A 3-night beach stay in Phuket also fits a long weekend, though the flight is slightly longer.
4. How much does a Thailand trip from Bengaluru typically cost?
For a 4 to 5 night Bengaluru-to-Thailand package, prices usually start around ₹35,000 to ₹42,000 per person on twin sharing, including flights, mid-range hotels, transfers, and a few activities. Multi-city trips covering Bangkok and Phuket (or Bangkok and Krabi) over 6 to 8 nights typically run ₹50,000 to ₹65,000 per person. Hotel category and travel season are the biggest cost drivers.
